ASG Esports facility partners with UMass Amherst & WPI to host WooMass 2 championships

All Systems Go Esports Facility is excited to host the WooMass 2 finals on October 15, 2023. 

WooMass 2 is a collaborative esports event organized in partnership between the esports clubs of UMass Amherst, Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and the ASG Esports facility. 

16 esports clubs and programs including UConn, Southern New Hampshire and Boston University are among teams participating. 

Competition of the game Valorant will begin with a 3-week online qualifying phase to secure a spot in the championships. 

Valorant is a first-person, free-to-play tactical hero shooter game. It is played 5v5 where one team attacks and the other team defends. 

If you want to witness the action, weekly qualifiers will be broadcasted from ASG’s broadcast facilities taking place on September 17, September 24 and October 1, 2023 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

WooMass 2 is entirely managed and organized by students at UMass Amherst and WPI while ASG’s facility will support in broadcast and production areas and securing sponsorship for the event. 

Mana and Be Quiet! are sponsors of the championship event and will be doing product giveaways in person and online during the event. 

ASG is excited to work with esports clubs and programs in the New England area to bring attention to the rising esports community, as well as to gain traction with school club sports administrations.
